Kitty / Pitty FAQ's

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Any cat or Pit Bull type dog can be spayed or neutered for $10, which includes a Rabies vaccination. A microchip can be added for only $10.

Q. Do I need to be a resident of Warren County?
A. No! This promotion is available to anyone, but services can only be completed here and at participating Vet offices.

Q. How long will this special be going on?
A. We were awarded a grant to do this special, so funds are limited and the promotion will end when they have run out. We cannot anticipate exactly when that will be.

Q. I filled out the application but have not gotten a call yet. What should I do?
A. Due to the high volume of applications we have received, our clinic staff has not been able to contact everyone yet. To expedite this process you can stop by our clinic to pre-pay and schedule or call with a credit card number to pre-pay and schedule over the phone. Our clinic stays very busy so you may need to leave a message. 270-745-8646.

Q. I want to take advantage of this special but my pet is too young to be spayed or neutered. What options do I have?
A. You can submit your application and pre-pay for the surgery and wait to contact us and schedule until your pet is of age.

Q. Will my pet be given pain medication?
A. Your pet will be given pain medication on the day of surgery. Additional pain medication is recommended for the 3-4 days following surgery and is available for $15.

Q. Why is the surgery so cheap? Is the surgery performed by a licensed Veterinarian?
A. There is absolutely no difference in the surgeries done under this promotion and any other spay / neuter services we offer. Our Vet has years of experience in spay / neuter surgeries and shelter medicine. The cost of the surgery is offset by a grant we received and has no bearing on the quality of the procedure.

Q. Can I have more than one pet spayed or neutered with  this promotion?
A. Absolutely!

Q. Will my pet have to stay overnight?
A. The day of your appointment, you will need to drop off your pet early in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. All pets will need to stay in a climate controlled area the night after surgery and preferably for the 2-3 days following.

Q. What if I don't have a cat carrier?
A. All cats are required to be in a cat carrier with a towel or something absorbent inside. If you do not have a cat carrier, we offer temporary cardboard carriers for $5.
