Protect Your Pet: Flea, Tick, & Parasite Preventatives

The Hotaling Spay/Neuter Clinic is committed to making critical preventative care affordable and accessible to our community. We carry a wide variety of flea, tick, heartworm, and intestinal parasite preventatives, and we offer both prescription and over-the-counter options for cats and dogs.

Products for Cats
Prescription Products:* Synergy, Nexgard Combo, and Bravecto
Non-Prescription Products: Advantage II and Frontline Plus

Products for Dogs
Prescription Products:* Heartgard, Nexgard, and Bravecto
Non-Prescription Products: Effitix

*To purchase prescription preventatives, your pet must have a patient-client relationship at the Hotaling Spay/Neuter Clinic and an active prescription on file. Prescriptions must be renewed every 12 months.
Don't have an active prescription? Don't worry! We make getting one quick, easy, and affordable:
  • We offer $15 Walk-In Exams. Be sure to bring your pet with you during veterinarian hours.
  • There's no appointment needed, but exams are only offered when a veterinarian is on-site. Please check our monthly vet hours.
  • A negative heartworm test is required to purchase a heartworm preventative. We can add this test to your exam if needed.

Clinic Hours:

Clinic Operating Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Veterinary Hours: Exams and veterinary services are generally available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on operating days, unless otherwise noted on the monthly calendar (click for details).

Don't Forget to Treat Your Home!

We carry Knockout, an effective area fogger that kills fleas and flea eggs, among other pests. It also kills deer ticks and other species that may carry or transmit Lyme disease and can treat up to 6,000 cubic feet. Knockout is $25 per can.
