PETS WANTED: FINDING THE ONE FOR YOU!
Are you looking for a certain breed? We can help! Here at the BGWCHS, we get a huge variety of pets that include almost every size, color, and breed you can imagine! We know that sometimes it can take a while to find the right fit, so we want to help match you up to the perfect companion! Here are some helpful pointers if you're looking to adopt a specific type of pet:
1. Submit a general adoption application. Once this is approved, our staff can help to keep a lookout for pets that might suit your needs! You can submit an adoption application HERE. There is no need to put a specific pet's name on the application. Just write "looking for a (fill in the blank)" in the pet name field on the application.
2. If you're open to a variety of breeds and sizes, the best option is to come in and browse frequently or to check our Petfinder listings every few days. For example, if you're looking for a "small dog", it is very difficult for our staff to call you every time we get a dog in that is under 20 pounds. We get new dogs of all sizes almost daily, so if you are looking for a pet within a certain weight range we almost always have several options to choose from!
3. If you are looking for a specific breed (example: Yorkie, Siamese, Boxer, etc.) we will put your information and request into our system so that we can contact you if we do receive this breed. However, we still highly recommend that you are actively looking at our adoptable pets via our website or in person at the shelter.
